The Georgetown High School Colorguard
is seeking an Assistant/Tech for the 2010-2011 school year. 

Job would require classtime, outside of school rehearsals, football games, contests, and other performances.  Salary is competitive. 

The GHS Colorguard is a part of a competitve 5A band program that competes in UIL and BOA contests in the fall, as well as TCGC and WGI Regional events in the spring.  We would like to get this position filled soon so that they can begin June camps with the students.  Anyone interested should email their resume to Rick Scruggs (Colorguard Director) at bobbyice@yahoo.com

United High School Band and Colorguard is Selling Their Used Flags!!!

If your program needs discount or used flags and can’t afford to pay the high prices of new or market value, we have a solution for you!!! The United High School Band and Colorguard is currently selling off the flags they have used in recent marching and indoor seasons.

Flags of all sizes and all colors as well as all values and costs - practice/camp flags, performance and state level flags are available. These flags have been used for 1, 2, or 3 seasons, and variable numbers of each are available.

Fox Tech High School Reflections Winter Guard is looking an individual to tech and instruct their 2010-2011 winter guard season.

With no marching band, this position is a special position in that winter guard is year round. This position calls for an individual who can be innovative with rehearsals and performances. With no marching band, the potential for a great winter guard is very high.

Description: This is the first year for the Stevens Colorguard. We have 20 girls currently enrolled and they have been taught the beginnings of a technique program. They are very eager, hardworking, and want to set a high standard for future Stevens colorguards.

The Guard Director would be in charge of writing choreography for the Fall and Winter shows, and teaching/ cleaning said choreography.

Depending on date of hire the work schedule would go as follows:

Remainder of Summer Band Days: ending on August 19

Rehearsal Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5-7 *beginning on Aug 24

Performance Days: Any applicable Football or Competitive Performances *schedule available

*In addition, the Colorguard Director would be present for the 8th period class 3:20-4:05 on the same days that they would be present for rehearsals, i.e, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Pay is competitive and negotiable upon contact and interview.

This is a great opportunity with true potential to become quite a large and successful program.
